The low ovarian reserve is a serious problem only when a woman faces problem in getting pregnant. Generally, women experience low ovarian reserve in their 30’s and 40’s after they have had children earlier in life. IVF success rate generally depends on the number of mature eggs produced. A poor quality or less quantity of egg production can decrease the chances of successful IVF treatment. In few cases decreased ovarian reserve is a condition that results due to the destruction of ovarian tissues. Ovarian tissues are destroyed through surgical removal of a part or complete ovary. While removing ovarian cyst there is a risk of damaging the ovarian tissues that can result in less quantity of egg production. Decrease ovarian reserve can also decrease the chances of Pregnancy. Decreased in ovarian reserve is mainly caused due to the aging of the ovaries. As the age increases, there is a decline in the eggs produced in the ovaries. In few cases, the patients can have a diminished ovarian reserve but intact ovarian function.

There are several issues that must be kept in mind when discussing ovarian reserve and its impact on infertility. First, decreasing ovarian reserve is a normal part of the aging process. Although some studies have suggested that diminished ovarian reserve. As measured by the cycle day 3 FSH, is a better predictor of infertility therapy success. Most Reproductive Endocrinologists would agree that age is still the number one factor that compromises a woman’s ability to become pregnant. Age and diminished ovarian reserve are usually synonomous, but not always. In looking at the success of standard infertility therapy. All other things being equal, the older the woman, the less likely she is to become pregnant. One study looked at a large number of women with unexplained infertility who were going through super ovulation using Clomid combined with IUI.

Hey there! You came to the right place. Yeah, there are many ways for assisted conception these days. But very expensive in America. You would probably be suggested to go for IVF or surrogacy. Keeping in mind your condition that is. Ukraine is the best option for both of them. I had my IVF there. Had success in the first cycle. Yaayyyy…
So I guess it is a good option. Look into that. I guess trying to search for good clinics is the best option to start with. And then you can contact the clinic and confirm the type of test you can go through. They’ll start you off nicely. Good luck. I wish you get to have a baby soon. Much love. Xx

Hey Monika. Hope you’re doing well, now. It’s such a tough situation to be in. I can’t imagine you had to go through all this. The good thing is, things are looking up for you now. You’ve realized and accepted the situation. This is exactly how it should be. People waste their best years remaining sad after finding out they are infertile. Sometimes they are too scared to try assisted conception. The ones that do try it, find happiness. What else can we do anyway? I personally think assisted conception is a blessing. Who cares if the society looks down on it? They aren’t the ones suffering, we are! Good luck on your journey!

Hi!Hope you are doing well. Sorry to hear about your TTC. I had the same problem then I decided to go for surrogacy. Thank God now I have a baby son. I went Ukraine for that. There are the best clinics. Their behavior was also good. So I suggest you also to go for it. Best wishes are with you.

I am sorry to hear that you are dealing with infertility issues. You should continue to work closely with your fertility doctors to address this issue, ass they are experts in increasing your chances of conceiving a child. AMH (anti mullerian hormone) is a relatively new test that is being used to diagnose ovarian dysfunction. It tends to be low, as in your case, usually in cases of premature ovarian failure. There are many treatments for premature ovarian failure. The choice of treatments depends on your preferences in part. For example, DHEA is one potential successful treatment that is relatively new. There are also a large range of other hormonally based treatments; I am not sure what treatments you may already have had, but if DHEA is the first you have tried, there may be other hormonal options that your doctors may want to try as well. Of course the most successful method here involves using a donor egg; however this depends on whether or not you are willing to consider this option obviously. Talk to your fertility doctors about how you are feeling; they can help you decide what the next steps in your treatment plan should be at this time.

Hey, @Catherine yes you are indeed right. The doctors have already informed me that IVF for me has the exact same chances of working as would conceiving naturally. Also, if IVF does work for me there are high chances of MC. So all these factors are basically telling me that IVF will be a wastage of money. The clinic I visited has convinced me to opt for surrogacy instead. DH is fully convinced however, I am still researching about it. I do want a child but I just want to make sure that everything goes well. Thanks for the help everyone.

Congrats on your pregnancy. Your fresh transfer was a great comfort to me during my IVF.
I find your fit experience so fascinating! I’m curious, do they do all the drugs because you don’t ovulate naturally? I ask because my FET was totally unmedicated – they tracked my ovulation, counted to day 5 after ovulation and popped embie in… That was it.

Yes, this is really expensive. Why are you taking so much burden out of it? There are certain places that offer the same thing in great packages. I hope everything is great for you. You should never worry about anything my friend. Just try to take good care of yourself. There is a certain place which offers this at a good rate. You can always go for that option.

I’m 33 and I’m pretty sure I have dor, my lowest fsh to date is 9.9 (UK), and my highest (this week) was 12.8, I was due to start another ivf cycle on 11th September, but this has now been put on hold. I’m really upset about it all, and am really worrying whether I’ll ever be a mammy. My level this week was 174 (again UK figures), but I’m not sure what this means as the normal levels for follicular phase at the lab go up to 600 I haven’t had my amh done, my consultant put me off because he asked the question ‘what will you do if its low, give up?’ and obviously I feel too young to give up. As for egg quality in my 1st ivf cycle I got 4 eggs which all fertilized, so am figuring quality is ok its just quantity. Sorry rambled a bit there. My consultant has now said to do the short protocol, but I’ve no idea when this will be. I’d say it’s because I am in the US and in the US seeing a doctor happens just as often as seeing a deity of some sort. I’m actually glad that I get to see them (the RE) once a month. If I were still in my home country… eh, I would have been done long ago with all these diagnostic things.

It has been a long time since I updated my post. I had my first consultation meeting with the clinic. It has been a long time now. A lot has happened since then and I am so confused. As I mentioned that I have low amh and poor ovarian reserve the doctors had rather a sad news for me. They told me that IVF has a very low chance of working for me. The success rate of it working is equivalent to trying naturally. They also told me that if it works the chances of MC are very high. Since then I have got so confused. The doctors do say that opting for DE option would increase the chances. However, the problem never stops here. The doctors when read that I was a patient of eating disorders suggested that I don’t opt for IVF. It would be harmful to my body. My DH now doesn’t want to risk me with IVF at all. It keeps on getting more and more confusing.

Take a free SSL certificate from here. The certificate runs without problems for my projects. It took me as much as 5 minutes to finish the procedure.
