Hey Trisha, hope you are fine. There should be proper legislation in every country. I live in Ireland. There is no proper law relating to surrogacy. All it says is that it is legal. But there are no rules about the childs guardianship. Also the surrogate is supposed to be the legal mother of the child. I am also considering surrogacy and it all seems so complicating. I am trying to get my treatment from Ukraine. But there laws do not match with ours. Also the legal process is so complicated and extensive. We’ll have to involve lawyers and embassies. My clinic Lotus is not that supportive in this regard. They take weeks to respond even, and have told me to take responsibility of this whole legal thing. I am very worried 🙁

I’m glad to read your post. Your post is very informational. Yes, you are right surrogacy is illegal in many countries. But its legal in some country in Europe. Surrogacy is very good for infertile people. I also become a mother through surrogacy. I wish everyone good luck

Hi there I hope that you are doing awesome. Thank you for sharing your story with us and discussing the problem of surrogacy. I know some the countries are not allowing the surrogacy due to some reasons but on the other hand some of the countries are providing the best services for the surrogacy. This is luck for me to go in the Ukraine Once there was a time when i was infertile due to contineous abortion. After discussing and getting suggestion from all sides including my relative, friends and docotrs suggested for Ukraine. I decided to go for Ukraine Now I am confident and happy because i have my own cute baby. So, at the end of my message i will suggest the infertility problem facing women to go for the best clinic only because the clinic matters than the procedure i will say for bes Ukraine Bio-tex-Com the best places having high success ratio than the anyother place in the world. Hope you will live a happy life my best wishes are always with you. 🙂

This is an informative post. I was also wondering Why is surrogacy still such a controversial subject? I have been doing my research on this topic. I talked to some people who are fertile and have no problem in having children. Most of their reviews were negative about this. They said it was too controversial and risky. I agree it is risky. But controversial, still? I don’t think so. It is 2018 people. I guess they don’t see it through the eyes of the people who cant have children naturally. They don’t know what we go through. So many people even discourage it. If you are not a supporter, fine. But at least don’t discourage it. It is benefitting so many people in this world.

Surrogacy is a miracle treatment. It brings happiness to the lives of the gloomy and disappointed IPs. It is even helpful for the unisex and the single parents. Despite all its benefits, it has certain limitations. The most critical thing is the legal status of the process. Many states still don’t allow the process of surrogacy. Even if they allow the process is very complicated. There are several legal procedures that have to be completed prior to going for the procedure. These pre-procedure things can save anyone going for surrogacy from unnecessary losses. The foremost legal requirement is the search for the legal status in your country. It is important to find out if the process is allowed or not allowed by the administration. It is very important to clearly identify the parties involved in the procedure. The process requires that all medical screening and tests must be fulfilled. The legal status of the clinic is important to explore. Wishing all the IPs going for surrogacy a smooth journey in the days to come.

If it helps even one person, you’ve done an outstanding job. I’ve found a lot of new things. You’re a gem of a person. Thank you so much!

I loved how you explained everything here. I almost follow all your posts. I love how you raise awareness. I second each every word. In the light of this post, I would like to share an incident. I read an article about how a clinic was lazy to get the legal procedures done. This one mistake of Lotus ended up in a disaster. The surrogate ran with the baby once it was born.
