Hello everyone I’m so happy to find this forum. I went through my last cycle without any support my husband was deployed and I really had no one in my life that understood anything going on with me. So… I have a son from a fresh IVF cycle 4yrs ago. We conceived our first try we have male and female factor infertility. I have PCOS. The FET cycle we went through Oct/Nov of last year we had one embryo transferred out of 4 left from out fresh cycle. My pregnancy test was a bfn. I was devastated not to mention my 3yr old begging for a sibling simply broke my đź’”. So now we are getting ready for our 3rd treatment our 2nd FET. PRAYING FOR BABY DUST! I am currently on BCP and tentative transfer date set for the week of March 26th. Is anyone cycling around that time I would love to have a cycle buddy.

You do have to use estrogen and progesterone to thicken the uterine lining and prepare it to receive the embryo transfer. But these medications are much less expensive than the ovarian stimulation medications. They also have fewer potential side effects. Are less demanding of your body. And the ultrasound and bloodwork monitoring that the practice does for you is not part of the FET protocol. Additionally, using frozen embryos can reduce the strain on a woman’s body in the event of repeated cycles. Repeated fresh embryo transfers require repeat egg retrievals and this can increase the risk of negative side affects related to stimulation of the ovaries. With the use of frozen embryos. One retrieval can cover multiple cycles.

In fact, it’s the fear of failure which often puts off a lot of infertile couples from even attempting an IVF cycle. They are petrified that if they try and fail. They will have nothing to fall back on. Which is why they refuse to even make the attempt in the first place! You are likely to go to pieces when you cycle fails. Because all your hopes come Learning from a failed IVF cycle Shattering Down. Please give yourself time to recover and then seek a follow up appointment with the doctor. So you can assess what you learned from the cycle. Sadly, the quality of IVF medical records in most Indian clinics is abysmally low. It’s important that you proactively ask for all your IVF medical records and documentation while the IVF treatment is going on. Rather than beg for these papers after the cycle fails.
May 12, 2018 at 4:50 pm #2092Felicia SazParticipantHey! Thank you for sharing your story. You might find this weird but I actually needed this. It’s because of my friend. She had been diagnosed with PCOS. She had her first transfer earlier this month. It failed, unfortunately. She has lost all hope and I’m really trying to be there for her. I needed to listen to a positive story about PCOS and IVF transfer. SO thank you so much for sharing this here. Also, we are praying for you here. Hopefully, you will conceive with your second baby soon. Do share your experience here again. Sending baby dust your way. Much love.

May 31, 2018 at 6:07 pm #2574ezabelParticipantGood to hear about your IVF baby, YOu had much luck. That happens. Often babies demand siblings and you are just speechless over this thing but this feels great to know that you are trying for this thing. Even my friend had bit similar case she had an elder daughter and she kept asking for a sibling. But my friend had secondary infertility. But she got lucky enough as she had her second baby boy through IVF. And the elder one has a sibling. What a blessing these procedures are.

June 2, 2018 at 7:23 pm #2642monikaParticipantHey, I hope you’re doing well. It must have been extremely hard for you when your child would have requested a sibling. It is just like being on an emotional rollercoaster. IVF’s are unpredictable and therefore, nothing can be really said about which cycle will work. You just give it your best shot and hope for the best. For IVF to work there are certain things that should be considered. Firstly, make sure that the clinic is operating at a high success rate. This means that in the past it has had more success with IVF treatments. This ensures that they are professionals and they know what they are doing. Apart, from this, change your lifestyle. Start eating more healthy food which is filled with nutrients that are important for your body. So many people during IVF also get their acupuncture done so you can ask your doctor regarding that as well. I am sure this cycle will work out for just be positive about it. Don’t let negativity strike your way. Best of luck!

In a perfect world, you will envision with your second baby soon. Do share your experience here again. Sending baby clean your bearing. Much love.
